Orange Barrel Report September 4

(KBSI) A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) is planning a daytime, lane restriction on Interstate 24 near the 62-mile marker in Trigg County starting Monday, Sept. 8.

Eastbound traffic will be restricted to one lane as a crew works to repair damage to steel beams on the KY 124/Cerulean Road Overpass. This project was paused in late April for additional engineering work.

Motorists should be alert for signs and message boards directing all traffic to shift into the open lane in the work zone. Please use caution.

A temporary traffic signal will be installed on the KY 124/Cerulean Road overpass (at mile point 3.84) to manage alternating one-lane traffic.

The project is expected to be completed around Sept. 19, weather permitting.

Route 21 in Reynolds County will be reduced as Missouri Department of Transportation crews perform pavement repairs.

This section of roadway is located from Route 34 to Route H near Ellington, Missouri.

Weather permitting, work will take place Monday, Sept. 8 through Thursday, Sept. 11 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.
