Ameren Teams to compete in 2025 National Gas Rodeo

ST. LOUIS, Mo., (KBSI) — Ameren will send six teams—four from Missouri and two from Illinois—to compete at the 2025 National Gas Rodeo, held Sept. 10–12 at Turfway Park in Florence, Kentucky.

“The Rodeo gives us a chance to demonstrate our commitment to safety and excellence in natural gas operations,” said Eric Kozak, vice president of natural gas for Ameren Illinois. “We’re thrilled to see our teams represent Ameren’s values on a national stage.”

Hosted by the MEA Energy Association, the National Gas Rodeo highlights the skill, safety and teamwork of natural gas professionals from across the country. Events include Meter Set, Service Installation, Pipe Cut and Hand Dig, designed to replicate the tasks natural gas crews perform every day.

“Every day, our natural gas operations teammates go above and beyond to ensure our customers receive safe and reliable service,” said Pam Harrison, senior director of Missouri Gas Operations. “The National Gas Rodeo is a unique opportunity to showcase the expertise, precision and dedication our teams bring to their work, while celebrating the vital role they play in serving our communities.”

Ameren Missouri teams include:

Columbia: Captain Robert Hillerman II, Nate Knigge, Jordan Davis, Dallas Castagna, Chad Crawford

Rolla: Captain Daniel Jahnsen, Brendon Harris, Phillip Troesser

Wentzville and Troy: Captain Dan Cushing, Stephen Tedeschi

Dexter: Captain Austin Aldridge, Justin McCollough

Ameren Illinois teams include:

Peoria: Captain Jonathan Dorich, Scott Snedden, Colt Foster, Mike Harenberg, Sam Hunt

Springfield: Captain Justin Langley, Jason Bardwell, Zach Roberts, Clayton Dees, Lance Alaria

Top-performing teams in the qualifying rounds will advance to a final relay competition, where speed, accuracy and teamwork determine the winners.
