Scott City Police share Ameren notice of planned power outage

SCOTT CITY, Mo., (KBSI) — The Scott City Police Department has issued a notice from Ameren U.E. advising residents of a planned power outage this weekend.

Electric service will be temporarily shut off at 11 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, for approximately seven hours to allow for major energy delivery improvements, according to Ameren.

Residents with questions are asked to call Ameren at 573-264-2121.

Police said officers will maintain an increased presence in the community during the outage to help safeguard businesses and residents.
