PERRYVILLE, Mo., (KBSI) — The Perry County Commission on Thursday unanimously approved a countywide No Burn Advisory due to ongoing dry weather and elevated fire risk.
In a statement, commissioners said the decision followed discussions with the county’s emergency management director, local law enforcement, and municipal leaders regarding the lack of precipitation forecast for the region.
“In the interest of public safety, the Commission declared Perry County is under a ‘No Burn Advisory’ until further notice,” the statement read. “The advisory impacts all of Perry County, including the incorporated municipalities.”
