FARMINGTON, Mo., (KBSI) — A St. Francois County woman is facing charges after authorities say she pointed a firearm at several people during a domestic incident earlier this summer.
According to court documents, St. Francois County Central Communications received a 911 call Aug. 6 reporting that LeAnn Heiring was pointing a weapon at two individuals inside a residence.
Deputies ordered the occupants out of the home upon arrival. Heiring exited carrying a backpack that investigators said contained a baggie of cocaine and two glass pipes. Witnesses told deputies Heiring retrieved a firearm inside the home, loaded it, and pointed it at one of the victims while making threats, including saying she knew “how and where to dispose” of their bodies.
Video provided to investigators showed Heiring sitting in a wheelchair near the front door holding a firearm on her lap and a knife in her hands.
After being advised of her rights, Heiring admitted to obtaining and loading the firearm, though she claimed she accidentally pointed it at the others. She also admitted to holding the firearm for about an hour prior to deputies’ arrival.
The weapon was identified as a Marlin Model 882 .22-caliber Winchester Magnum rifle.
