MARBLE HILL, Mo., (KBSI) — A Bollinger County man has been arrested and charged after deputies say he admitted to stealing property during a burglary over the weekend.
The Bollinger County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded Sept. 27 to a report of burglary and theft on County Road 360. During the investigation, deputies later spotted items in plain view at a residence on Missouri Highway 51 North that matched those reported stolen. The items were confirmed as stolen property and seized.
Deputies made contact with Kaleb Wingerter, who allegedly admitted to taking the property. He was arrested and taken to the Bollinger County Jail.
On Sept. 28, a felony warrant was issued charging Wingerter with second-degree burglary, stealing $750 or more, and property damage. His bond was set at $25,000 cash only.
Wingerter remains jailed as of Monday. Authorities noted all suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
