Southern 7 Health Department says WIC, Head Start services continuing despite shutdown

ULLIN, Ill., (KBSI) — Southern 7 Health Department is assuring families enrolled in Head Start and the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program that services will continue as usual despite the recent federal government shutdown.
Officials said WIC remains open and operational in Illinois and expects to have resources through October. Head Start funding is expected to continue through the end of the year. There are no planned program changes at this time.
