PADUCAH, Ky., (KBSI) — Paducah residents should expect to receive their 2025 real estate tax bills within the next two weeks, city officials announced Thursday. Bills are also available to view and pay online.

The deadline for payments without penalty or interest is Dec. 1 for the first installment and March 2, 2026, for the second installment, if applicable. Property owners who do not receive their bill by mid to late October should contact the Finance Department to request a statement.

Payments can be made by cash, check, money order, credit or debit card at City Hall, 300 South Fifth St. Other options include paying by mail, using the night drop box at City Hall, or by phone at 270-444-8513. Online payments are also accepted.

Credit and debit card transactions carry a 3.75% service charge with a $2.50 minimum, while e-checks incur a $1.50 fee. An Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system is also available 24 hours a day in English and Spanish:

Real estate tax IVR: 833-256-9146

Personal property tax IVR: 866-800-3584

In September, the Paducah Board of Commissioners set the city property tax rate at 27.1 cents per $100 of assessed value. City officials emphasized that they do not set school tax rates or assess property values. Separate bills for county government and other agencies will be sent by the McCracken County Sheriff.

Property owners with escrowed accounts should forward the tax bill to their mortgage company. Seniors and disabled residents are encouraged to contact the McCracken County Property Valuation Administration for information about the homestead exemption.

More details are available on the City of Paducah’s property tax webpage.
