Cape Girardeau Police arrest four in armed robbery near Capaha Park

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — Four suspects, including three juveniles, were taken into custody Thursday after an armed robbery was reported near Capaha Park, police said.

Officers responded to the 1400 block of Broadway after victims reported being confronted by a group they knew at the park. Several members of the group allegedly pointed firearms at the victims and demanded money before fleeing south through Capaha Park toward Broadway Street.

Police said they identified and located four of the five suspects during the investigation. Three juveniles were transported to the Juvenile Detention Center. The fourth suspect, identified as Jaterrius T. Robinson, was arrested and charged by the Cape Girardeau County Prosecutor’s Office with two counts of first-degree robbery and two counts of armed criminal action.

Robinson is being held on a $50,000 cash-only bond. Authorities said the fifth suspect, also a juvenile, has been identified and remains at large.
