(KBSI) Northbound Route 51 in Perry County may be impacted as contractor crews perform roadside work. 

This section of roadway is located at the intersection Route 51 and Route 61 in Perryville, Missouri.

Weather permitting, work will take place Friday, Oct. 17 through Friday, Oct. 24 from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.

The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.

The Crittenden County Road Department will temporarily close Youth Camp Road (CR1411) to through traffic beginning Wednesday, Oct. 8, through Friday, Oct. 10, weather permitting.

This closure is necessary to perform repairs to several areas of base failure along the roadway as part of preparations for upcoming paving work.

Please note that local traffic will be able to access and exit Youth Camp Road via either Irma White Road or Tom Hill Road throughout the duration of the closure.

Motorists are urged to stay alert and use caution. This work may alter ordinary routes of travel during the three days.
