Cairo Women’s Shelter to host candlelight walk for Domestic Violence Awareness Month

CAIRO, Ill., (KBSI) — The Cairo Women’s Shelter will host a Candlelight Walk this evening in recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

The event will begin at 6 p.m. at the Cairo Public Library and conclude at the Cairo Women’s Shelter.

Organizers say the walk is meant to honor survivors, raise awareness, and promote community support in the fight against domestic violence.
