Cape Career and Technology Center opens new welding facility

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — The Cape Girardeau Career and Technology Center celebrated the grand opening of its new welding facility Wednesday morning, marking a major investment in workforce development for the region.

The ribbon cutting took place at 10:30 a.m. at the center’s campus on South Silver Springs Road, followed by a trade show and open house that continued through the afternoon.

The new facility features state-of-the-art training equipment and expanded classroom space designed to provide hands-on instruction, industry-recognized certifications, and strengthened partnerships with area employers.

School officials say the addition will help meet growing demand for skilled welders and provide students with real-world experience in a modern training environment.
