Carbondale police arrest suspect in domestic violence case

CARBONDALE, Ill., (KBSI) — A Carbondale man has been arrested following a domestic violence investigation that involved a firearm, according to the City of Carbondale Police Department.
On Oct. 23, 2025, at approximately 10:49 a.m., officers met with a victim who reported being battered and threatened with a gun inside their home in the 300 block of West College Street. The victim was taken to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
Following the investigation, detectives obtained search and arrest warrants for Seth L. Creasy-Constantine, 32, of Carbondale, on charges of Aggravated Domestic Battery and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by a Felon.
Creasy-Constantine was arrested after leaving the residence on foot, police said. During a subsequent search of the home, officers located a firearm. He was booked into the Jackson County Jail, pending a detention hearing.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
