MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky., (KBSI) – A Tennessee woman died Saturday following a single-vehicle crash on westbound Interstate 24 in McCracken County, according to the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to the 10-mile marker of I-24 after a 2020 Nissan Altima, driven by Molly Gallimore, 54, of Paris, Tennessee, left the roadway for unknown reasons. Roderick Gallimore, 54, also of Paris, Tennessee, was a passenger in the vehicle.

Investigators said the car traveled about 100 yards along the grass shoulder before striking a concrete culvert wingwall, overturning, and coming to rest on its roof in approximately two to three feet of water.

Two off-duty FBI agents witnessed the crash and stopped to help. They pulled both occupants from the vehicle, removed them from the water, and began CPR on Molly Gallimore.

Both individuals were transported to a local hospital, where Molly Gallimore was pronounced deceased.

The McCracken County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Reidland-Farley Fire Department, Mercy Regional Ambulance, McCracken County Coroner’s Office, and Stinnett’s Towing.

Authorities said the crash remains under investigation by the department’s collision reconstruction team.

The Sheriff’s Office extended its condolences, asking the community to keep the Gallimore family in their thoughts and prayers.
