Boil water order issued for part of Broadway Street and Times Square Mall in Mt. Vernon

MT. VERNON, Ill., (KBSI) — A boil water order has been issued for the 3400 block of Broadway Street and 2A Times Square Mall in Mount Vernon, effective at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2025.

The precautionary order is expected to remain in effect for approximately 48 hours, according to city officials.

Residents and businesses in the affected area are advised to boil all water used for drinking, cooking, and brushing teeth for at least one minute before use.
