Rural Health Inc. breaks ground on new Metropolis clinic

METROPOLIS, Ill., (KBSI) – Rural Health Inc. (RHI) broke ground Thursday on its new Metropolis clinic, a nearly 11,000-square-foot facility that will expand health care services for Massac County residents.

The new clinic, located at 1521 East 5th Street, will continue to offer RHI’s existing Family Medicine and Behavioral Health services while adding General Dentistry and an in-house pharmacy.

RHI leaders said the organization is proud of the continued growth in Metropolis and looks forward to expanding access to care in the community. The project is fully funded by the organization and is expected to be completed by summer 2026.
