McCracken County High School temporarily placed on lockdown

PADUCAH, Ky. (KBSI) – McCracken County High School was placed on an internal lockdown around 2 p.m. Friday out of an abundance of caution, according to district officials.
All students and staff are safe, and law enforcement and school administrators remain on-site actively assessing the situation.
During the lockdown, students and staff stayed in place while safety protocols were followed. Individuals currently on campus were asked to remain in their vehicles until further notice.
District officials said an update will be provided once more information becomes available and it is deemed safe to release students.
