(KBSI) Route A in Scott County will be reduced to one lane as Missouri Department of Transportation crews perform pavement repairs.
This section of roadway is located from Route 61 to County Road 234 near New Hamburg, Missouri.
Weather permitting, work will take place from Thursday, Nov. 6 through Wednesday, Nov. 12 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.
The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.
An active work zone near Interstate 24 Exit 27 in Marshall County will require overnight closures tonight, Nov. 5 and Thursday, Nov. 6.
I-24 will be blocked near mile point 26.6, at the bridge over U.S. 62 at Exit 27/Kentucky Dam/Calvert City between 9 a.m. and 6 a.m. each night. The I-24 eastbound on-ramp at U.S. 62, near Loves Travel Stop, will also be blocked. Traffic will be detoured by law enforcement and flaggers.
Crews will place asphalt and concrete to reinforce bridge shoulders and widen the eastbound on-ramp. Work may finish earlier than 6 a.m. each night.
Detour Schedule:
Nov. 5 – I-24 (Both Directions) near Exit 27
Eastbound Detour: Take Exit 27 to U.S. 62 and KY 453, to return to I-24 eastbound at Exit 31.
Westbound Detour: Take the Exit 27 off-ramp to U.S. 62, then back onto I-24 westbound via the on-ramp.
Nov. 6 – I-24 Eastbound Only near Exit 27
Eastbound Detour: Take Exit 27 to U.S. 62 and KY 453, returning to I-24 eastbound at Exit 31.
NOTE: No westbound closure or detour is anticipated on Nov. 6.
