Paducah man arrested after armed disturbance in Reidland

REIDLAND, Ky., (KBSI) — Deputies with the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 21-year-old Paducah man following an armed disturbance Tuesday evening in the Fisher Road area of Reidland.

Deputies responded to a residence after receiving a report of a disturbance involving a firearm. Upon arrival, deputies located a man and woman who said they had been involved in a verbal altercation.

During interviews, deputies determined the female victim had previously been assaulted by the suspect and that, during the current incident, the suspect had threatened a male victim while brandishing an AR-style pistol and pointing it in his direction.

The suspect, Brian Liverman, 21, of Paducah, was taken into custody. Deputies seized multiple firearms and drug paraphernalia from the scene. Liverman was lodged in the McCracken County Jail without incident.

While serving Liverman with an emergency protection order at the jail, deputies said he made additional threats of serious harm toward the female victim, resulting in an additional charge of third-degree terroristic threatening.

Liverman faces the following charges:

  • First-degree wanton endangerment (Class D felony)
  • First-degree strangulation (domestic violence related) (Class C felony)
  • Second-degree disorderly conduct (Class B misdemeanor)
  • Menacing (Class B misdemeanor)
  • Possession of marijuana (Class B misdemeanor)
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia (Class A misdemeanor)
  • Third-degree terroristic threatening (Class A misdemeanor)
