Franklin County Sheriff’s Office launches annual winter coat drive for local students

BENTON, Ill., (KBSI) — The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, in partnership with the Franklin County Office of Emergency Management and Communications, has launched its second annual “Cops, Community, Coats & Kids” Winter Coat Drive.

The initiative aims to collect new winter coats for students in local schools, helping families across the region who are facing financial challenges. Donations of children’s sizes X-small through adult large are being accepted throughout November.

“Your donation will bring comfort and smiles to the faces of young learners who need a little extra warmth this season,” the Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.

Donations can be dropped off anytime at the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, 403 East Main Street, Benton, IL 62812, or sent directly through Amazon or other e-commerce retailers to the same address.
