Utility crews responding to outage in Cape Girardeau, affecting homes, businesses

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — Utility crews with Ameren Missouri are working to restore power to 119 customers following an outage caused by tree damage, officials said.

Among those affected is Dawn of Life Aesthetics & Wellness, which reported losing power and phone service Monday afternoon.

“We are currently out of power, and our phone lines are also down,” the business shared in a statement. “If you’ve tried to call and no one has responded, that’s why. Power should be back up around 4:30 CST today. Thank you!”

The outage began around 1:26 p.m. Monday, and a service crew has been assigned to make repairs.

The estimated restoration time is 4:30 p.m. on Nov. 10, 2025.
