Sikeston police respond to incident near junior high school

SIKESTON, Mo., (KBSI) — Sikeston Department of Public Safety officers responded Tuesday morning to an incident in a neighborhood near Sikeston Junior High School, officials said.

Authorities confirmed there was no threat to the school or student safety at any time.

The school was briefly placed on hold to allow emergency vehicles to respond to the nearby incident, police said.
