KBSI FOX23 News at 9 p.m.

(KBSI) A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) plans a temporary closure along a section of KY 972/Snipe Creek Drive in Calloway County on Wednesday, Nov. 12 and Thursday, Nov. 13.

Full width paving will take place between Paradise Drive and Faxon Road, or mile points 0.619 and 2.1.

The work will take place during daytime hours and is expected to last about two days, weather permitting.

Weather permitting, the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) is planning an eastbound lane restriction on the Interstate 24 Tennessee River Bridge at the Marshall-Livingston County line, starting at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 18, for inspection work.

Traffic will shift into the left lane to allow inspectors to operate an under-bridge inspection vehicle (UBIV). Motorists should use caution and watch for signage in the work zone.

The eastbound lane is expected to reopen by 3:30 p.m. the same day.

Route BB in Scott County will be closed as construction crews replace a culvert under the roadway.

This section of roadway is located between Route Y and Route 114 near Sikeston, Missouri.

Weather permitting, work will take place Monday, Nov. 17 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.
