PADUCAH, Ky., (KBSI) — The McCracken County Sheriff’s Office is responding to a collision involving a semi-truck on the westbound lanes of the Interstate 24 bridge.

Authorities said the semi-trailer partially lost its load, forcing a full shutdown of the westbound lanes. Motorists are urged to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.

The closure is expected to last two to three hours while crews clear the scene.

Officials also reminded drivers that semi-trucks are not permitted to cross the Brookport Bridge.
