Reynolds County authorities investigate homicide near Ellington

ELLINGTON, Mo., (KBSI) — The Reynolds County Sheriff’s Office and the Missouri State Highway Patrol are investigating a homicide reported late Tuesday night near Ellington.
At approximately 11:10 p.m. on Nov. 11, deputies requested assistance from the Highway Patrol’s Troop G following reports of a possible homicide at a residence on Highway B.
About 20 minutes later, a Reynolds County deputy conducted a traffic stop on Highway 106 and took a 27-year-old suspect into custody in connection with the case.
Shortly after midnight, investigators from the Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control, Troop I, arrived to assume the lead role in the investigation.
Authorities said the investigation remains active and ongoing. The identities of both the victim and the suspect are being withheld pending notification of family and further investigative steps.
The Reynolds County Sheriff’s Office and the Missouri State Highway Patrol continue to work jointly to ensure a thorough and impartial investigation. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
