Weakley County sheriff’s office warns of jury duty scam calls

WEAKLEY COUNTY, Tenn., (KBSI) — The Weakley County Sheriff’s Office is warning residents about a recent wave of scam calls claiming individuals have missed jury duty.

According to the department, some callers have spoofed the sheriff’s office administrative number to appear legitimate. Deputies emphasize they will never call citizens to request money.

Residents who receive such calls are urged to hang up immediately and avoid providing any personal information or payment.
