Saint Francis Healthcare System adds Dr. Kelsi Swanson to expanding surgical team

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — Saint Francis Healthcare System has announced the addition of Dr. Kelsi Swanson to its general surgery team.

Swanson earned her medical degree in 2018 from Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University in North Chicago, Illinois. She completed her residency at UT Southwestern/Parkland Hospital in Dallas in 2023, followed by a fellowship at the Allegheny Health Network’s Esophageal Institute in Pittsburgh in 2024.

She is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery.

Saint Francis General Surgery includes a team of board-certified surgeons specializing in minimally invasive and advanced surgical procedures. The group emphasizes individualized care, quicker recovery times and strong patient outcomes through a patient-first approach.
