Arraignments set for three suspects in Kaniah Jennings homicide case

CARUTHERSVILLE, Mo., (KBSI) — Three men accused in the death of 18-year-old Kaniah Jennings are now set to be arraigned Thursday, Nov. 20, in Pemiscot County.

The suspects appeared by video on Monday, Nov. 17, but the hearings were delayed after the court determined none of them had legal counsel present.

  • Keenan Peoples, 34, of Hayti, is charged with first-degree murder, kidnapping, rape and tampering with evidence.
  • Blake Patrick, 18, of East Prairie, is charged as an accessory to first-degree murder, as well as kidnapping and rape. A bond hearing for Patrick is also scheduled Thursday.
  • Donald F. Peoples Jr., 38, of Hayti, faces charges of first-degree murder and tampering with evidence and will also appear for a bond hearing.
