Carbondale to host second annual Helping Hands for the Holidays resource fair

CARBONDALE, Ill., (KBSI) — Mayor Carolin Harvey and the City of Carbondale will host the second annual Helping Hands for the Holidays: Carbondale Community Winter Resource Fair on Thursday, Dec. 11, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Carbondale Civic Center.

The free event will feature nearly 30 community organizations and agencies offering information about local services and resources available to residents during the holiday season and throughout the year.

Attendees will receive complimentary treats and beverages from Cristaudo’s Café and Bakery and may enter drawings for door prizes. Commemorative Carbondale holiday bags will be available while supplies last.

City officials thanked participating organizations for providing “helping hands” to the community during the winter months.
