PADUCAH, Ky., (KBSI) – Marquette Transportation Company has announced the renaming of the M/V A. Steve Crowley to the M/V Whitney Ann Cruse in honor of Whitney Cruse, the company’s vice president of barge logistics.

Cruse, who joined Marquette 18 years ago and has served in her current role since 2017, was recognized for her leadership within the company and her commitment to Marquette’s culture and values. Company officials said her dedication and influence have made a lasting impact on the organization.

The recognition also reflects Cruse’s contributions outside Marquette. She founded and served for six years as president of the WIMOS Western Kentucky chapter and has held leadership roles in the Paducah Charity League and other community organizations.

Marquette extended congratulations to Cruse, her husband Bryan, and their two sons on the vessel’s renaming.
