Highway Patrol reports one fatality, hundreds of crashes in Dec. 1 winter storm

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo., (KBSI) — The Missouri State Highway Patrol released winter weather response totals Monday, reporting hundreds of crashes and one death during the Dec. 1 storm.

According to the patrol, Troops A, B, C, D, F, H and I handled:

  • 817 calls for service
  • 214 stranded motorists
  • 358 crashes
  • 41 injuries
  • 1 fatality

Officials urged drivers to adjust their speed for road conditions, slow down and stay alert as winter weather continues across the state.
