JEFFERSON CITY, Mo., (KBSI) — Gov. Mike Kehoe joined the Missouri Department of Conservation, the Conservation Federation of Missouri and community partners at the Samaritan Center to mark another successful deer season and help deliver donated venison through the state’s Share the Harvest program.

Each fall and winter, thousands of Missouri hunters donate surplus venison to help feed families experiencing food insecurity. The program depends on hunters, volunteer meat processors and partner organizations who work together to turn harvested deer into meals for those in need.

Kehoe highlighted the program as an example of community generosity and collaboration.
