CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — The Southeast Missouri Food Bank announced Thursday that it has received new disaster-relief trailers through a grant from Feeding America. The equipment will support the food bank’s ability to deliver food, water and essential supplies to communities affected by emergencies.
The new trailers will operate alongside the food bank’s existing disaster-response truck.
As a member of the Midwest Disaster-Ready Region cohort, SEMO Food Bank is working with partner food banks to improve disaster preparedness and response efforts across the region. The organization said the collaboration strengthens shared resources, expertise and community networks to ensure quicker and more effective support during crises.
