Graves County Sheriff’s Office reports arrest following pursuit on KY-80 bypass

GRAVES COUNTY, Ky., (KBSI) — A Mayfield man was arrested late Friday night after a brief pursuit that began on the KY-80 Bypass, according to the Graves County Sheriff’s Office.
At approximately 11:43 p.m. Dec. 5, Sgt. Garret Clark observed a maroon Ford F-150 commit a traffic violation on the bypass. When Clark attempted to catch up to the vehicle as it turned onto Central Road, the driver allegedly switched off all exterior lights and fled, prompting a short pursuit.
The chase continued onto KY-303, where Deputies Austin Caldwell and Tanner Bazarnyj were positioned. In the 1900 block of KY-303, deputies deployed stop sticks, successfully deflating a tire and bringing the vehicle to a stop.
The driver, identified as Noah Hungerford, 19, of Mayfield, was taken into custody without incident. Deputies said Hungerford showed signs of impairment and that marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a loaded firearm were found inside the vehicle.
Hungerford is charged with first-degree fleeing or evading police, DUI, possession of marijuana and multiple traffic offenses. He was transported to an out-of-county detention center.
