(KBSI) Atmos Energy plans to implement daytime lane closures along 3rd Street in downtown Paducah starting Tuesday, Dec. 16 for utility work.

Crews will be working between Washington and Monroe streets, or mile points 1.9 to 2.34.

The project will include boring two natural gas mains perpendicular to the roadway. The first phase will include accessing sewer manholes and camera work.

During this phase, traffic will shift into the left lane in the work zone. Motorists should be alert for signs and use caution.

Route 114 in Stoddard County will be reduced as Missouri Department of Transportation crews perform ditch repairs.

This section of roadway is located from McCormick Street to County Road 725 near Dexter, Missouri.

Weather permitting, work will take place from Tuesday, Dec. 16 through Friday, Dec. 19 from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily.

The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.
