(KBSI) The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) will temporarily close a section of KY 1837 starting at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 23, weather permitting.

The road will be closed to through traffic between Womble Road and Gholson Road. A crew will be replacing a cross drain near mile point 2.2.

Work is expected to be completed by 2:30 p.m.

Motorists are asked to self-detour.

Westbound Route 60 in Carter County will be reduced to one lane with a 14-foot width restriction as Missouri Department of Transportation crews perform pavement repairs.

This section of roadway is located from Route J to Route M near Van Buren, Missouri.

Weather permitting, work will take place Tuesday, Dec. 23 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.
