Stolen motorcycle recovered, suspect arrested in Williamson County burglary investigation

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Ill., (KBSI) — A stolen motorcycle has been recovered and a suspect arrested following a burglary and theft investigation in Williamson County, authorities said.

According to the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded Nov. 25, 2025, to a residence on Peach Lane in Carbondale regarding a reported burglary. The reporting party told deputies the home belonged to his late father and had not been checked for about a month.

Deputies said they found evidence of forced entry, including a removed kitchen window and an open front door. A detached shed had also been entered. Investigators determined multiple items were stolen, including a Harley-Davidson motorcycle, as well as a water heater and a wood stove.

On Dec. 23, 2025, deputies responded to a residence on Mallard Lane in Carbondale for a property retrieval related to an eviction. While on scene, deputies observed a motorcycle inside a garage matching the description of the stolen Harley-Davidson. With the property owner’s consent, deputies inspected the motorcycle and noted the vehicle identification number had been altered. Further investigation confirmed the motorcycle was the one reported stolen.

The motorcycle was recovered and secured as evidence.

Terry W. Pulliam was taken into custody and charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, a Class 2 felony, and theft, a Class 3 felony. Pulliam was transported to and lodged in the Williamson County Jail.
