Murray man charged after firearms found during suspicious-person call

CALLOWAY COUNTY, Ky., (KBSI) — A Murray man was arrested late Saturday after deputies discovered firearms inside a vehicle during a suspicious-person call, authorities said.
According to the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded at about 11 p.m. Dec. 27, 2025, to a report of a suspicious individual on Wilkerson Drive. An unoccupied vehicle was found in the area, and deputies later located two men associated with the vehicle.
During the investigation, deputies discovered firearms inside the vehicle. One of the men, Jeff S. Richardson, 59, of Murray, was identified as a convicted felon and was taken into custody. Authorities said Richardson was also out on bond following a March 2025 grand jury indictment on drug trafficking-related charges.
Richardson was lodged in the Calloway County Detention Facility. He is charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, a Class D felony, as well as possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
