(KBSI) Atmos Energy plans to implement a lane closure along 3rd Street in downtown Paducah starting Wednesday, Jan. 14 for utility work.

Crews will be working between Washington and Monroe streets, or mile points 1.9 to 2.34.

The project will include boring two natural gas mains perpendicular to the roadway.

Motorists should watch for signs directing traffic into the open lane in the work zone.

Work is expected to continue through mid-April, weather permitting.

Please use caution where workers and equipment are near traffic flow.

Route FF in Butler County will be closed as Missouri Department of Transportation crews replace a culvert under the roadway.

This section of roadway is located between County Road 624 and County Road 622 near Fisk, Missouri. While work takes place, the road will be open to local traffic only.

Weather permitting, work will take place Thursday, Jan. 15 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.
