Cape Girardeau to host 2026 Cardinals Caravan community event

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — The Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation Foundation will host the 2026 Cardinals Caravan on Monday, Jan. 19.

The free, family-friendly event is open to the public and is sponsored by the Cape Girardeau Chamber of Commerce, Three Eagles Distributing, Dobbs Tire & Auto Centers and Withers Broadcasting.

Doors will open at 4:30 p.m., with the program beginning at 5:30 p.m. Scheduled participants include players and alumni Jimmy Crooks, Nathan Church, Andre Granillo, Mark Sweeney and Joshua Baez. The event will be emceed by Polo Ascencio.

The program will feature a discussion about the upcoming season, door prizes including ticket vouchers, a question-and-answer session, wiffleball activities for children and autograph signings for the first 400 children in attendance.
