KSP Post 1 reports phone outage affecting emergency, administrative lines

MAYFIELD, Ky., (KBSI) —***UPDATE*** MAYFIELD, Ky. (January 16, 2026) – All phone lines have been restored to Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 1 at this time.
Kentucky State Police Post 1 is experiencing a phone outage affecting both emergency 911 and nonemergency administrative lines.
Emergency 911 calls have been transferred to McCracken Central Dispatch, where they are being answered and relayed to the appropriate agencies for response.
KSP Post 1 can currently be reached at 270-634-5899, 270-634-5900 or 270-793-6401.
Calls for service are being answered, but KSP asks the public to be patient with telecommunicators while call transfers remain in place. There is no estimated time for restoration of the phone lines.
