Union City Elementary students recognized with discovery park field trip

UNION CITY, Tenn., (KBSI) — Two dozen students from Union City Elementary School were selected to attend a field trip to Discovery Park of America last week as part of the school’s Discovery Kids program.

The group included 12 third-grade students and 12 fourth-grade students who were chosen based on good behavior, strong work ethic and attendance during the second nine weeks of the 2025–26 school year, according to Union City Schools.

Students were accompanied by guidance counselors Regena Lindsey and Rebecca Beachum, along with bus driver Tammie Harris.

Those attending the trip included:

Third grade: Deyler Chomo-Pastor, Navi Harrell, Houston Frilling, Angelica Oxlaj Chavez, Milly Parks, Anna Zik, Owen Brown, Maelin Martinek, Brynleigh Duncan, Trey Morris, Macon Harris and Carisse Peery.

Fourth grade: James Burnette, Ethan Cardena, Ollie Keathley, Doerrian King, Luka Lozier, Marto Oxlaj Hernandez, Charlie Parks, Kennedy Pate, Jaidence Pettigrew, KoriBeth Taylor, Lakyn Williams and Emmitt White.

School officials said the Discovery Kids program recognizes students for positive conduct and academic commitment.
