Semi hauling propane overturns near Kentucky Dam; crews respond

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ky., (KBSI) — The Marshall County Emergency Management Agency is urging motorists to avoid the area of KY 282/Gilbertsville Highway near the Kentucky Dam Campground and between KY 1523/Industrial Parkway and the U.S. 62/641 interchange after a semi hauling propane overturned.

Officials said there are no leaks at this time. Green’s Wrecker Service is working to upright the tanker.

Multiple agencies are on scene, including the Calvert City Police Department, Kentucky State Police, Marshall County Sheriff’s Office, Gilbertsville Fire Department, Calvert City Fire Department, Marshall County EMS, Kentucky Environmental Response and the Marshall County Emergency Management.

Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes while crews continue operations.
