Benton police urge residents to stay off roads as slick conditions persist

BENTON, Ky. (KBSI) — Benton Police Department is urging residents to remain at home unless an emergency arises as slick and snow-covered roads persist in parts of the city.

Police said officers will continue patrolling and maintaining public safety but warned that unnecessary travel increases the risk of crashes and injuries.

Motorists are encouraged to avoid driving unless absolutely necessary while hazardous conditions remain.
