Southeast Missouri State to return to regular hours Jan. 27

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — Southeast Missouri State University campuses will return to regularly scheduled operating hours Tuesday, Jan. 27, university officials said.

Facilities Management crews have worked throughout the winter weather event to clear building entrances and walkways. Officials said treated areas may refreeze overnight, and crews will return to campus beginning at 5:30 a.m. Tuesday to continue clearing and treating surfaces.

University officials urged students, faculty and staff to use caution, particularly on the north sides of buildings and on secondary walkways, despite ongoing snow and ice removal efforts.

“I want to extend gratitude to the crews from Facilities Management, the University Police Department and the Student Life area who worked throughout this winter storm to ready campus for our return and provide food and services to our students,” SEMO President Dr. Brad Hodson said.

While campus operations will resume normal hours Tuesday, information about evening events and services is available at University Closings | SEMO.
