Kentucky winter storm death toll rises to 12, governor says

FRANKFORT, Ky. — Gov. Andy Beshear said the death toll from this week’s winter storm in Kentucky has risen to 12 following the death of a 32-year-old woman in Fayette County.

Beshear said the fatalities mark a difficult time for the affected families and asked Kentuckians to keep them in their thoughts and prayers.
