Surprise assembly reveals Cape Girardeau educator as state’s top assistant principal

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — Halley Russell, an assistant principal at Terry W. Kitchen Central Junior High School, has been named Missouri’s Middle Level Assistant Principal of the Year.

Russell was surprised with the announcement during a school assembly held in front of students on Thursday. Cape Girardeau Public Schools officials congratulated Russell on the honor and praised her leadership and dedication to students and staff.
