Frankfort High School principal arrested, district places administrator on paid leave

WEST FRANKFORT, Ill., (KBSI) — Frankfort CUSD 168 officials said they learned through public sources that Aaron Hill, principal of Frankfort Community High School, was arrested and booked into the Franklin County Jail in connection with an incident that occurred outside of school.
District officials said Hill was placed on paid administrative leave pending an internal investigation, as previously announced. The district said it is respecting the legal process while continuing to seek information related to the case.
According to the district, it has received no information indicating that any of the allegations involve student safety or students.
Officials said the update was provided to keep families informed, noting the district is limited in what it can release regarding personnel matters and is following legal guidance on disclosures. The district said student safety and maintaining an orderly educational environment remain priorities.
Administrative duties at Frankfort Community High School are being handled by district administrative staff and the assistant principal. District officials said additional information will be released if and when it becomes available.
