Poplar Bluff R-1 school board member resigns after moving outside district

POPLAR BLUFF, Mo., (KBSI) — Timothy Dale Gaebler has resigned from the PB R-1 School District Board of Education after moving outside district boundaries.

In a statement posted Feb. 3, Gaebler said his family is building a home on their family farm in Broseley, which places them outside the school district. He said the move prompted his decision to step down from the board.

Gaebler described the decision to build on the family farm as a personal one rooted in family history and said he plans to focus on spending time with his grandchildren and family.

He thanked the community for its support and said it was an honor to serve on the board, adding that he intends to continue supporting the community in meaningful ways.
