(KBSI) Route ZZ in Stoddard County will be reduced to one lane as Missouri Department of Transportation crews trim trees along the roadway.   

This section of roadway is located from County Road 648 to County Road 659 near Dexter, Missouri. 

Weather permitting, work will take place Monday, Feb. 9 through Wednesday, Feb. 11 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily. 

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) plans to close the U.S. 45 Ohio River “Brookport” Bridge on Tuesday, Feb. 10, to conduct the annual walk-through inspection.

The bridge, which connects Paducah, Ky., and Brookport, Ill., will be closed to traffic between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. While the inspection is typically performed in the spring, it is being scheduled earlier this year ahead of the Illinois Department of Transportation’s planned restart of the Interstate 24 Ohio River Bridge rehabilitation project in March.

While the bridge is closed, KYTC crews will also address minor maintenance needs on the structure and its approaches.
